The fitness enthusiast Shilpa Reddy has been busy with her brother Samrat Reddy’s wedding celebrations. In an event associated with the wedding, the sustainable-living activist donned her 19-year old saree that she wore when she became a bride. Shilpa took to Instagram to post her pictures in the vintage saree with the couple. Captioning the photo, “A very warm welcome to the new member of our family”, she looked absolutely royal in the family picture.
The purple colour vintage kanjeevaram saree featured temple print golden zari along the borders. Illustrating the ideals of sustainable living, she paired it with her original matching purple blouse. And she captioned the post, “wasn’t sure if the blouse would fit me but it did”. Yes Shilpa, looks like you haven’t aged at all.
Shilpa Reddy accessorized her vintage look with a polki choker necklace, a matching pair of stud earrings, and a stone-studded gold bracelet. To keep up with her traditional look, she tied her hair in a sleek bun adorned with gajra. Her matte make-up look included winged eyes, a bindi and a striking violet hue lipstick. What a stunning way to revisit the old saree and create a new look.
