Try These Sleeve Ends To Make Your Blouses More Interesting

When we start designing our saree blouses be it bridal blouses or just the other fancy ones or even regular ones the main points we think about it the neck pattern of the blouse, whether you need any embroidery on it and if so what kind and what style. Next comes the length of the sleeve or if you actually want sleeves in them. Least do we think about sleeve ends.

Sleeve Ends For Bridal BlousesEven as we think sleeve ends we wonder what exactly it would be doing to our ultimate blouse design. Well, sleeve ends can make so much difference to a blouse design, simple or not.

Instead of the regular sleeve how about a different cut or maybe overlapped sleeves?? How about using two different colors for overlapped sleeves or adding some heavy stone or pearl work? They look very interesting.  The easiest way to have fancy sleeve ends is to add some heavy embroidery and choose designs like a floral pattern or paisley patterns to make it overhang from the regular straight cut ends. The next alternative is to overlap two ends so as to form an inverted “V”. You can add embroidery on one piece of fabric or add some embellishments to the start of the inverted “V”.

Our favorite would be the arm band shaped sleeve ends which make it look like the bride is wearing a heavy traditional arm band, but in actual effect the sleeve ends are cut in that shape and intricate embroidery and maggam work is done.

You can add a thin border of stone work along the ends to make it look evident. A heavy patch work when placed in the correct space also looks like an interesting sleeve end. It need not be large to create the desired effect.
