1. Never store the silk sarees with other sarees in your closet. Always keep them separate.

3. You can wrap them in a cotton cloth and store them in your cupboard. This will also ensure the color overlapping doesn’t happen with your sarees.
4. Pattu sarees can crease easily. So refold them from time to time to avoid any creasing.
5. If any staining happens, clean the saree immediately. Don’t postpone the cleaning for the stains on silk are quite stubborn.
6. Zari embroidered sarees must be folded in such a way that the zari is inwards so that they don’t lose their shine and look new for a long time.
7. Use neem leaves to the rescue when you’re scared of the bugs ruining your saree. Neem leaves keep away the bugs.
8. Never dry them out in direct sunlight. This may result in the discoloration of the saree.
9. Do not iron your saree directly. Always put a cloth on it and iron. Direct iron may affect its shine.
10. Do not hang your sarees on a metal hanger. Just keep them folded.
11. Store them in a cool, dry place. You can use silica gel if you’re afraid of any fungal growth on your saree.
